Since 2014, Conestoga College has hosted Jill of All Trades to inspire young women in Grade 9-12 to pursue careers in the skilled trades. The event includes facility tours, guest speakers, a VIP reception and hands-on workshops in the motive power, industrial and construction trades, led by Conestoga faculty and other female mentors. The event has grown to attract over 600 participants, educators, volunteers, industry representatives and government officials each year.

Expanding our reach

In response to interest from schools across North America, Conestoga College began supporting other post-secondary institutions in hosting a Jill of All Trades in their communities in 2022. In 2024, Conestoga College supported the delivery of 15 events across Canada and 2 in the United States. By 2026, Jill of All Trades plans to expand to 35 institutions across North America to deliver more than 100 events.
