Become a Mentor

Jill of All Trades (JOAT) mentors support event participants by showing them how to complete workshop projects, discussing skilled trades opportunities and trade career paths, and encouraging their interest and participation.

Mentors might also speak about their skilled trades career path, share information about the skilled trades, help young women to make connections and network.

Questions mentors may be asked:

  • How did you become a tradesperson?
  • Were you always interested in trades?
  • What is it like for females to work in the trades?
